Ascorbic acid is Vitamin C. It is added to Earth's Best Pears and Bananas at 45% of the Recommended Daily Value for Vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for young babies to maintain general health and aid the absorption of iron that is crucial to early physical and neurological development.
